Libertarians or neo-confederates is the question. While reading an article the other day I couldn't help but notice the presence of a few hiding in plain sight and posing as libertarians. Very disturbing. How do I put this? Many libertarian groups are being used as a cover by radicals in their ranks who are actually neo-confederates. Kind of the way many atheist groups are being used as a shield for people of religious groups who like to bash other groups. Yes, there are those who claim to be atheist who are actually members of one religion or another and who sole purpose is to attack and insult certain religions. But, I digress. Back to the neo-confederates.
Take Alex Jones for example. Jones who claims to be a staunch defender of individuals rights over what he sees as a "tyrannical federal government" who want to "destroy the Constitution and the Bill of Rights." In reality, Jones is making millions hand over fist, feeding on peoples unwarranted fears. In other words, his job is pour fuel onto the fire and whip up his followers into a paranoid frenzy, whatever fire that may be. Currently it is the Second Amendment. He is paranoid, delusional and I suspect a neo-confederate, I digress again though.
Neo-Confederates are serious racist. They are bitter the Union won the Civil War, they hate the 16th POTUS, Abraham Lincoln, espouse secession, and are equally resentful that the current POTUS, Barrack Obama, has won a second term. They are unapologetic about slavery, and in complete denial about the subject. The scary part is that there are tens of thousands of these racists and bigots all over the country. You know the groups that support founding a "Free State." Shit, where did they get that idea from? I think it may have been the Afrikaners, or a leftover afterthought arising out of the ashes of the rightfully dead Confederate States of America.
Ever notice how some of these "libertarians" are staunch isolationist, especially when it comes to helping people of color in war-torn nations. They are the first to point to the "Islamist" in the Syrian revolution and why we shouldn't get involved. They use the tired excuses, "it's not our concern", "let them handle their own problems", "we are not the policeman of the world." What they are really saying, without saying, is to them it is NHI, or No Humans Involved. Similar to those "atheist" who get their jollies watching Sunni and Shia kill each other in the Middle East. They are not Anglos so we are not going to help them. They are not Christians so who gives a crap what happens to them. Trippy thing is there are actually people of color who are members of the neo-confederate crowd, except they don't know it because they are libertarians, they are being taken advantage of.
One thing this gun control talk did was get these people out in the open, make mistakes and expose what they really are. I know many people who are libertarians and are fine upstanding Americans, they are not neo-confederates who believe "the Republic will rise again", see the Republic never really fell down anyway. So, if you are an honest to goodness libertarian, tell the neo-confederates to stop using you as cover for their hate and seditious agenda.
