Just some observations here on the latest "diplomatic" efforts put forth by Kofi Annan, Sergey Lavrov and the monster himself, Bashar Assad. Mr Annan is pushing for an interim government. Assad says that is possible "if certain conditions are met." Wait a minute here. I thought Kofi Annan's six point plan "were those conditions." Now meet them Assad. You are not in a position to add any "criteria." Assad says he would like to see an "Interlocutor" involved, again, isn't that what Annan is supposed to be? In case you are wondering, interlocutor literally means middleman. Like this situation doesn't have enough middlemen at the behest of Assad.
My next observation involves the UN monitors. Face it, their "mandate" is up as of July 20th. They have been sidelined for about a third of their mission because the violence was "just to dangerous."Now the UN Security Council is trying to decide what do do with them. Annan would like their mission changed to that of "facilitating a diplomatic solution." How are they supposed to do that? If it is to dangerous to observe the combatants, I'm sure it will be more dangerous for them to be running back and forth between combatants saying "if you just think outside the box" we can find a peaceful find way out of this. No Mr Annan, Assad must implement the six point plan, and leave. So several plans have been put forthby the French and British regarding the implementation of the six point plan, and the renewal of the observer mission. Here is the one with teeth put forth by the British, disliked by the Russians, Chinese and, you guessed it, Assad. The observer mission would be extended fo45 more days under the change of mission conditions above. Assad would have 10 days to honor one point of the six point plan, withdrawing heavy weapons from in and around major towns and cities. If he fails he will face sanctions. Only God knows what happened to the other five points, and haven't we slapped him with all the sanctions we could have already? If not, why the hell not? This warning of sanctions would be under chapter VII which would normally allow it to be enforced by military means, except the Russians are balking, so no military enforcement. Let me get this straight. We are giving him 10 days to do part of what you wanted him to do 100 days ago. Really?
Heres my "incentive plan" for you Assad:
1) Benito Mussolini. Executed on 4/28/45 by being shot in the chest twice in the town of Mezzegra. It is what happened to the bodies of him and his mistress that should give you something to think about. Sent to Milan, the bodies "were beaten, shot, and spat upon." They were then hung upside down by their feet and meat hooks at an Esso gas station and stoned.
2) Anastasio Somoza Debayle. Assassinated on 9/17/80 while in exile in Asuncion, Paraguay. His Mercedes sedan was hit by a anti tank missle. What was left of his body was in such poor shape it could only be "identified by the feet."
3)Nicolae Ceausecu. He and his wife were tried on television for two hours, found guilty. Their hands were tied behind their backs, they were taken outside and executed by firing squad on Christmas day, 1989.
4)Muammar Gadhafi. Captured outside of Sirte on 10/20/2011. You know him, you were in contact with him up to his last days. You carried his rants on your propaganda news network SANA. Severely beaten, executed by being shot in the head and chest. His body was put on public display in a produce refrigerator for four days, along with his son Mutassim.
Still want that interlocutor?
Kofi, Sergey your diplomacy is killing them[The Syrian people].
I urge anyone who can get this article into Syria to translate it and do so. Let the butcher read it first hand.
