Tuesday April 12th at 4:30AM will mark the 150th anniversary of the Bombardment of Fort Sumter and the beginning of the American Civil War.
This posting is to honor the some 600,000 plus Americans who lost their lives over a four year period in Americas most deadlly war. The war and it's outcome would for ever change America and the way in which war is waged.
The emancipation of the slaves and the assassination of President Lincoln were but two of the major events of the conflict. Let us all take a moment to remeber and to give thanks for what we have today.
